An acrostic poem Regan wrote about the landing at Gallippoli

A mistake I will never forget

Gun fire flying past me
All pumped up with adrenalin ready to fight
Launched onto the beach
Long gone the urge to fight
I froze with fear and horror
People losing lives beside me
Of course I
Lied about my age
I should have stayed home. It was a mistake, I will never forget.
