ROCK DA HOUSE On Tuesday 28th of August the senior syndicate (Year 4-8) went to the Motueka Memorial Hall to perform in ROCK THE HOUSE John and Paulette spent a lot of time and effort in to putting this performance together, THANK YOU very much. They spent so much time with us helping us with everything we messed up on. Three other schools participated with us Mahana, Dovedale and Ngatimoti. We had three soloists represent Upper Moutere School. The soloists for Falling Slowly were Connie and Benjamin they sounded AMAZING!!! Emily sang We Are The World. “She sang like an Angel,” cried her Brother Jacob. There were also two soloists from Mahana, Tom who sang Mary Had A Little Lamb and Lilly-May singing Mati Mahi Ka ora. For some it was nerve-racking!!! , and for others it was easy. We performed many songs like Bad Hair Day, Mati Mahi Ka ora, Eye Of The Tiger, Falling Slowly, We Are The World, We Are Gonna Have a Party, Mary Had a Little Lamb, Hey Soul Sister, Big Black Horse In A Cherry Tree, Something In The Water, We Will Rock You, An Austrian Went Yodeling, One Day. We talked to some of the parents that watched our performance lots of them said “it was so good” or it was great or “WOW!! That was amazing” and so on.
